COMMUNICATIONS

The JSU Communication Department, part of the School of Business and Industry, provides high quality preparation for the field of communication, with a focus on hands on professional training. The department is accredited by The Accrediting Council on Education in Journalism and Mass Communications, ACEJMC. The BA in Communication offers three concentrations, including Broadcasting, Public Relations, and Digital Journalism. Graduates routinely embark on rewarding and prosperous careers in advertising, digital and print journalism, public relations, radio and television broadcasting, and web design or site maintenance.
