Job Description

The Building Maintenance Manager at Daniel Payne Legacy Village Foundation plays a vital role in ensuring the functionality, safety, and aesthetic appeal of our facilities. Responsibilities include overseeing the maintenance and repair of all buildings and infrastructure by developing and implementing maintenance schedules, and conducting regular inspections to identify areas for improvement or repair. The Building Maintenance Manager will also collaborate closely with staff to address any maintenance-related issues and ensure that our facilities meet regulatory standards and guidelines.

Required skills

Develops, implements, and maintains compliance with all maintenance related emergency procedures
Use basic hand tools to perform maintenance tasks
Monitors, troubleshoots, installs, and repairs basic mechanical systems
Performs scheduled maintenance inspections and performance assurance inspections on equipment to ensure safe and effective operating conditions
Ensures equipment is maintained in optimal condition by performing preventative maintenance, minor maintenance, and inspections regularly
Performs building maintenance tasks, including interior and exterior building and ground maintenance involving electrical, mechanical, heating, cooling, plumbing, carpentry work as necessary
Ability to pay attention to details such as instructing crew members on how to look for work errors, identifying minor and major maintenance problems, and inspecting equipment as needed to consistently perform quality maintenance work.
Strong verbal, written communication, and organizational skills
Solicits bids from contractors and vendors and supervise all contracted to work to ensure completion and compliance with quality standards and budget
Cleans and maintains machinery, equipment, and work areas to ensure proper functioning and safe working conditions
Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously as needed to meet deadlines and ensure required tasks are accomplished.
