The Bachelor of Arts degree is a flexible 120-hour program that includes the general studies curriculum, the required Art major courses, and a minor field. The BA degree program does not have an Art concentration. The major area consists of 54 hours of approved art courses including Survey of Western Art 1 and 2, Drawing 1 and 2, Design 1 and 2, BA Senior Seminar, 6 hours Art History, and 27 hours of studio courses numbered 300 or above in at least 2 concentration areas.

The objective of the major in accounting is to provide conceptual accounting and business knowledge as a foundation for professional careers in public accounting, private or industrial accounting, and governmental or not-for-profit accounting, or for pursuing a student at the graduate level.

Jacksonville State University offers a Bachelor of Science with a major in Biology, with a choice of concentrations from the diverse fields of biology, including Cell and Molecular Biology, Ecology and Environmental Biology, Marine Biology, Organismal Biology, and Pre-Health Professions. A Bachelor of Arts with a major in Biology, concentration in General Biology is also an option. Students take a basic core in biology, including classes in Ecology, Genetics, Cell Biology, Introduction to Research in Biology, and Senior Seminar, followed by upper-level courses specific to the chosen concentration. The BS in Biology prepares students for a variety of careers, graduate study in biology, or advanced study in health professions.
