The Welding Technology program at NACC prepares students to join the workforce by providing training and skills development in Welding.

The completion of the required courses and passing the National Regristry of EMT cognitive and psychomotor test for Paramedic are required to receive a license as a Paramedic as issued by the Alabama department of Public Health - Office of EMS.

The Welding program is designed to establish welding skills necessary for entry-level job placement and to enhance the skills of experienced welders in various arc welding processes used by industry. The program also provides welder certification training upon successful completion of this program. The student will be able to make quality welds, layout and fabricate various pipe connections, perform repair work, and have knowledge of welding codes and blueprint reading.

The associate degree in WDT prepares students for employment or advancement in welding and fabricating industries. Graduates obtain skills that include welding of carbon, aluminum, and stainless base metals with various welding processes; blueprint reading/fabrication, welding inspection and testing, oxyfuel, and plasma arc cutting, CNC automated cutting, pipe welding and layout with additional skills in industrial maintenance. Graduates will be able to obtain employment as maintenance technicians or certified welders in construction or manufacturing industries.
